We wanted to stay longer. The beach is only about 300 metres away, so you can just walk there, and at night you can hear the waves. Our mobile home was modern and really nice, with a good spot under the trees and room to park the car. There’s a small pool with a slide, a playground, a mini shop, and a little bar-restaurant too.

We had a great three-night stay in summer 2017 with our family of six. The sandy ground drained rain pretty well, which helped since the weather wasn’t great, and the pitches feel private, with hedges and different levels. Ours was a bit small, though I’m sure they’d try to find a bigger one if you asked. The beach is so close that we didn’t need to drive or cycle there. La Rochelle is about an hour away, with trains, an airport, and a lovely old port with castles. We may come back and hire a caravan next time, so we can bring our canoe and surfboards without transporting as much. Lovely campsite and area.

The relaxed atmosphere and location are what we love here, and we’re planning to return next year. We’ve booked a better pitch because ours wasn’t great. The pool would have scored higher than 8/10 if there hadn’t been poo floating in it at one point. The shop needs a lot more in it, especially fresh milk and vegetables. The kids also thought the cafe/bar felt less friendly than last year, and we waited two and a half hours for takeaway pizzas one night.

We had a really good time with the family. The beach is less than five minutes away, and there’s a nice pool, volleyball and a playground. The program and food were good too. We had a campervan, though, and the only water tap was by the toilet.

We came 1000km and left really disappointed. This could have been a great campsite, but the rating of four stars surprised me; I’d give it two at most. There was loud entertainment every evening, running until midnight, with over two hours of the worst disco music imaginable. Smoking is allowed, so tobacco smoke can reach you while you’re having breakfast outside. The mobile home furniture and equipment were well used. We were also charged an unexpected 80 EUR cleaning fee, and bedding and towels cost EUR 15 per person, so bring your own or expect to pay.
