Chambres d'hôtes Anousta

We stayed three nights in a very quiet village. The house was relaxing.

We were lucky to get a room looking out toward the mountains. There was also a panoramic photo on the terrace showing the names of the peaks. The animals were adorable, and the whole place felt like a breath of fresh air. The welcome was wonderful, and the cook really knows how to make a meal. We enjoyed everything, including the homemade products, and were touched by the picnic lunch they prepared in case an unexpected hike came up. Breakfast was lovely too, especially the pie. We liked it so much that we took some home. We had a wonderful weekend in the area.

The owners are always available, and the atmosphere is friendly and family-run. Everything felt geared toward making us comfortable and relaxed, and the food was delicious from the appetizer through dessert. Cleanliness was impeccable, and the price seemed reasonable for everything offered. Now I understand why people leave such positive reviews and come back. We’ll do the same. Thanks for the lovely stay in your home, and see you soon.

We spent three very pleasant nights here, and the friendly time around the table with other travelers and Mr. and Mrs. Vives was one of the highlights. My 17-year-old daughter and 10-year-old son enjoyed it as much as we did. The rooms are cozy and clean. There’s a little kitchen, plus a washing machine and clothesline. The meals are homemade, with vegetables from the garden and local products. Each day brought a different homemade cake, and we loved the house specialty, the Loubajacquaise pie. Takeaway baskets are available too. It’s a simple, welcoming family place, with generosity and authenticity. We’ll certainly return to explore more of this beautiful region.
