There was no one at reception when we arrived, even though it was late, and the place felt dark, empty and lifeless. The elevator had vomit or something smeared on it, and the doors looked nothing like the ones I’d seen online. Sitting on the bed made me itchy. The whole place gave me the feeling of somewhere you might wake up in a tub of ice.

The room was dusty and unclean, and there was barely any heating. The facilities were very poor, and I got mosquito bites overnight 😢

The staff were friendly and helpful, like when I needed hot water 😀 I only speak English and German, so there was a misunderstanding because I don’t speak French, but I still felt at home during my stay. It’s close enough to the Sanctuary, and I’d recommend it to friends visiting Lourdes. I was there on an invitation for the International Military Pilgrimage and didn’t have much time to socialize. One thing to keep in mind: live music from the restaurant next door made it hard to sleep, and I had to get up early for an event.

Calm, welcoming and friendly. The operators go above and beyond to help, and everything you need in Lourdes is within 500m of the Sanctuary. Mercí
