The Grand Hotel Metropole felt like home, and I’m proud of my experience there. The staff were great, the bedrooms comfortable, and the mountain views from the window were stunning. The food and alcoholic drinks were excellent. Nearby there are plenty of great shops, cafes and pubs. I love Lourdes with all my heart, and I’ll definitely return. 10 out of 10 from me, with memories I’ll treasure.

The staff are friendly and the location is good, only 8 minutes on foot from the Sanctuary. The hotel is old, though, and the rooms are very poor.

They’d told me earlier that my room wouldn’t be ready until later, so I was relieved to find it ready when I arrived. The staff were nice and friendly, and the room was comfortable. Thank you.

The Hikers Special was expensive, dry, flavorless and a big ZERO. It came with three meats and fries, but the lamb chops were overcooked, the pork was undercooked, and all of it was cold. We were seated at a table surrounded by dirty glasses. It wasn’t a busy night, so there was no excuse for the poor meal and service. This was our first visit and a very disappointing experience. Hopefully it was an aberration and not typical. We’re hotel guests, so we’ll see how the rest of our stay goes.

The food was delicious and really well prepared. Staff were attentive and amazing, and the rooms were kept clean and tidy.
