The restaurant was good, and the price felt fair for the quality and service. I stayed four nights and found the room comfortable and clean, even if it wasn't luxurious. Everyone on staff was friendly and keen to help, especially the young woman at reception. Having stayed in four-star hotels in Lourdes over the last two years, I don't think they offer anything better than Hôtel de la Vallée. It's certainly one of the best options in Lourdes.

The views are magnificent, whether you look out at the mountains or the city, and everything is within walking distance. Our room was spacious, very clean, and had air conditioning. There was also a desk where you could work on a laptop. The hotel is quiet and beautiful, and the staff speak several languages. You can have breakfast and dinner there, though there's more to see in the town centre. Street parking is free, or you can leave the car in their garage for 8 per night.

We had three memorable nights and would definitely come back. Our room on the fourth floor was spacious, very clean, and had a lovely mountain view. The staff were hospitable and very helpful, and the breakfast buffet had plenty of variety. The hotel is close to everything, including musee de cire and the grotto. It's also near the elevator down to the bridge and the road to the sanctuary, shops, and restaurants.

Many weeks ahead of time, I asked to change my six-night non-refundable booking to five nights because of logistical issues with the airport distance and timing. They turned down my request and offered just two euros off breakfast as compensation. This hotel clearly isn't service oriented.
