B&B HOTEL LYON Centre Perrache

Being able to park at the hotel was really convenient, and getting on or off the highway was easy from here. I enjoyed walking into the city center, where there are lots of restaurants, cinemas, and grocery stores. The location and amenities made the stay very pleasant. I’ll definitely return later this year.

The staff were nice and helpful, and the check-in and checkout times were generous. The room was very basic but clean and okay. One small annoyance: the toilet door takes quite a bit of strength to open every time :) The location is good and quiet, very close to the central station, though the tram ride to the center takes 20 minutes.

The location was more or less okay, but the rest of the stay was awful. The staff were difficult to communicate with, the rooms were small and dirty, and ours was cleaned only once during a 3-night stay. Breakfast was terrible and ended at 9:30 AM. We went once and didn’t bother going back. We paid for parking, but they said we hadn’t. Even after we showed a bank receipt confirming payment, we were forced to pay twice. They’re pretty much scammers. This was the worst hotel we’ve ever stayed at. Please stay away.

The room was extremely cold. The heating took a long time to work, and they wouldn’t provide an extra blanket even though we clearly needed one for the baby’s cot. The blankets we brought from home were too thin for the temperature, so our child ended up sleeping in our bed. We’d requested a baby cot in advance, but it wasn’t in the room when we arrived; after check-in, we had to wait for staff to bring it and set it up. Housekeeping was another major problem during our five-night stay. I asked staff not to come during my child’s nap, and they decided not to come at all. Our room was cleaned just once. I collected a huge bag of trash in the bathroom, and nobody came even after I complained several times. They gave excuses instead. I went to reception three times asking them to send someone, but they kept saying the staff were on another floor, even though all the empty rooms on ours had already been cleaned. The one time they did come to “clean,” they made the bed without changing the sheets, replaced the towels, and added toilet paper. They didn’t clean the sink or floor. Breakfast was disappointing too. It was supposed to run until 10:00, but they were clearing the food at 9:40, and one day there was nothing left to take by 9:50. The selection was limited to begin with, which made it even more frustrating. A very disappointing stay, and definitely not a hotel I’d return to or recommend.
