The rooms were clean and worked really well for our family, and the location was convenient, right by Perrache station and metro options. We had a great stay, with very helpful, friendly staff.

The price felt fair at €150 a night for a family of four. It seemed better suited to young people on a budget, and families with kids may want to look at other options. The staff deserve five stars for being professional, friendly, and kind, but the hotel and its surroundings were more average, so I’d give those three. It’s an old, worn building with no elevators, narrow corridors, and fairly small rooms. We didn’t have enough space for four people and our luggage, and things got messy. The mattresses were too firm and gave me back pain. We visited in late August, when nights were warm, so we had to open the windows and sleep with earplugs because of traffic noise around the clock. You can request an interior room facing the courtyard for quiet, though the view isn’t very nice. The area felt somewhat rough, with graffiti, tents used by homeless people, and a corner pub playing loud music. It wasn’t so nice for a family with kids. The central bus and train station is right nearby, and the walking streets with shops and restaurants are within reach. Those streets are lively at night. There are several hotels farther north that are better placed for the main attractions, with renovated buildings that feel fancier and more enjoyable for a vacation. Breakfast was very good, but the room got crowded and it was hard to move around. Parking in the garage by the central bus and train station was €25 a night, and it wasn’t easy to get in or find our spot again. Au revoir Lyon, Vive la France !

From arrival right through to leaving, the staff were so friendly and helpful. They made me feel welcome and gave great advice about places to see and things to do in Lyon.

The room was clean, cozy, and very well designed, with a comfy bed. The staff were super friendly and the food was really good, so staying here was a great decision. There’s no elevator, which could be a hassle for anyone with reduced mobility, but I’d still fully recommend it.
