Loft Saint Vincent

A lovely, quiet area just a few minutes' walk from the old town. The room was clean, the bed very comfortable, and the electric blackout blinds kept out the morning sun. Most of all, the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I'd highly recommend this hotel for a visit to Lyon.

My experience with this hotel was extremely disappointing. At 8:14 PM on arrival day, I got an email saying my room was unavailable because of a “technical problem” and that my booking had been moved to another property without my agreement. They didn't apologize until I repeatedly stressed that it was late, “C’est retard.” The next day I emailed to ask them to reimburse my taxi fare, but they ignored the message. I later found that my credit card details had been shared without authorization, and I had been charged twice, once by Hotel Saint Vincent and once by the other hotel. When I called to get an explanation, the staff were rude, kept cutting me off, and eventually hung up. Extremely unprofessional. I wouldn't recommend this hotel at all.

The room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Reception wasn't always staffed, so at times the door was shut and I had to wait.

We booked from the US and were delighted by this quaint, pretty hotel. I loved the staircase, and the people at the desk were kind and helpful. They suggested Le Bouchon des Filles nearby, and my daughter and I loved the restaurant. Our room was clean, nice, and spacious, with very comfortable beds. We only had to walk up one flight, which suited us perfectly, and the gentleman at the desk even carried our suitcases. The location was great, and there was a beautiful trompe l’œil around the corner. If you want to stay away from the busy areas, this is a lovely choice. We wouldn't regret it. C’était impeccable!
