I wouldn’t recommend living here. My apartment had a long list of problems they hadn’t disclosed, including sewage backups, faulty windows, and cupboards that fell down. It was dusty too. They said they’d note that in the inventory, but that turned out to be a lie. I spent nearly 20 hours cleaning from top to bottom. Since I had to work and couldn’t attend the inventory, they came when nobody was there instead of arranging a time with the tenants. Then they said I had to pay for a cleaner because, according to them, there was dust on the baseboards. The managers weren’t honest. Find somewhere else, you can get better quality for less.

The building and apartments were renovated this winter, and the location is handy for major medical facilities. It’s a functional option for short student stays. Everything is very standardized to maximize investor returns, so don’t expect personal attention from the management company. The 8th arrondissement is a nice area, with Place des Lumières and a charming shopping street where you can find everything.

Apartments facing the courtyard are the better choice. The residence is near the Monplaisir district and Place d'Arsonval, close to Edouard Herriot Hospital and the medical and paramedical faculties. Wi-Fi quality is poor, and the windows don’t always seal properly, which can mean high heating bills, especially with convector-only radiators. Supervision and management need work. Managers change too often, and office hours don’t always fit student schedules.
