Staycity Aparthotels, Lyon Rue Garibaldi

I was only meant to stay two days in May 2018, but I liked the hotel and Lyon so much that I extended it to a week. The bed was super comfortable, and the Nespresso machine came in handy. The staff were friendly and the service was probably some of the best I've had in any hotel anywhere. Thanks to everyone there. Highly recommend.

Good value, with a small gym and a parking garage, which mattered to us since we were driving a classic car. The staff were very friendly. Our room was pretty big, clean and modern, with a fridge and the option to make tea or coffee. You could even cook a meal there.

There are plenty of places to eat and grocery stores nearby, and Garibaldi Metro is about a 10-minute walk away. From there you can get to downtown and old town Lyon for sightseeing. Everyone working here speaks very good English, and the rooms are nice and clean. The staff are really helpful if you need anything. Great place to stay in Lyon.

The location worked really well for a short stay, with the city center about an 18-minute walk away and transit nearby for reaching farther attractions. There are also three washers and three dryers onsite, with detergent sold at the front desk for €0,50. A wash costs €3 and drying costs €2. Parking is available, though the turn into the garage is extremely sharp and doesn't suit a long vehicle. Room quality varies quite a bit, even within the same class, so you may or may not get one of the nicer ones. The rooms themselves are very nice. Breakfast comes in a €6,50 box, but I'd make my own or go to a nearby café. Convenient and affordable if you want to be near the center for a couple of days.
