We’d seen some bad reviews, so the stay was a pleasant surprise. The room was as shown on the site, a decent size and had a bath. The reception gentleman from Mauritius was really kind and friendly. The only issue was our noisy British neighbors, who were drunk and making a racket.

Even though the hotel is right in the center, it was really quiet at night, and the location worked very well. My room was clean, and the breakfast cafe had a nice feel to it. I arrived late and Iqbal checked me in. He was fluent in both English and French, and such a kind, pleasant person. I was very happy with the stay.

I left early because I couldn't manage several nights in a room like this. I'm only about five feet tall (153cm), yet my head touched the ceiling, and I had to duck where the attic roof sloped. There was no desk or dresser and barely room for anything. The photos I'd seen showed spacious, attractive rooms with desks and nice beds, so the difference was hard to believe. I took photos of my room. Maybe the other rooms aren't like this, but mine felt like a cramped space that shouldn't have been a room at all. I've stayed in hostels that were much nicer and cheaper. I don't know how they assign rooms, but I felt completely let down. This place is a joke and a scam.

The staff made us feel so welcome, and we were genuinely happy staying here. Our room was roomy and very clean, and the location was great. Every staff member was excellent. We couldn't recommend the hotel more.

We had a lovely time here. The cafe is a nice spot to recover after a long, hot day, and the neighborhood itself is quiet. It's easy to get into the city center and to the football stadium, with good transport links. The staff were warm and friendly, and the service was great.
