The bed didn't seem clean, and I felt itchy after sleeping in it. The place was noisy too, with footsteps from upstairs. The bathroom had a broken socket, which felt unsafe, a broken shower head that made bathing almost impossible, and a dirty, stuffy tub area where the water took ages to drain. The toilet seat was dusty, so I didn't sit on it. Everything in the kitchen was filthy, and I couldn't cook or even boil water. I also had to pay a deposit before check-in. When the door wouldn't lock, the owner didn't reply right away. After waiting three hours, I sent a video showing the problem, and got a video back explaining how to fix it.

The bathroom was dirty, and the lock took several tries before it opened. Housekeeping was really poor too. The colored sheets and towels seemed to be there to hide the dirt.

We'd already driven 800km with the children when we found out, just two hours before arrival, that the air conditioning was broken. Cancelling and finding somewhere else at that point was difficult. Even with two small fans, the heat was stifling.

The apartment is exactly as shown in the photos, and it was the only good thing about our stay. Marseille is awful. I'd consider staying somewhere else before going to the city.

It's a pretty place, but the hygiene is only average. It was hard without air conditioning.
