Suite Pointe Rouge Jacuzzi SPA

We loved the suite, especially the bright room and the terrace, which is tucked away from the neighbors so you won’t disturb anyone. The jacuzzi was clean, and so were the bedding and dishes. It’s a lovely spot to unwind for a day or a night, with friends or someone special. Check-in was self-service, and I’d happily come back.

The place didn’t look like the photos. There were no petals or candles, and the champagne my boyfriend paid extra for never showed up, with no refund either! The oven was broken, the cupboards were smashed, and there were plastic cups. The jacuzzi was hot and running when we got there, but the bottom was dirty. No soap or shampoo in the shower, either. For that price, we were extremely disappointed. We also had to leave at 10 am, even though we’d gone there the day before to pick up the keys at the last minute after we’d already arrived. They could’ve offered a goodwill gesture. My advice, book somewhere else.

The area had a lot going for it: easy free parking nearby, a restaurant, a bakery for breakfast, and a superb coffee shop called “BEST Expresso.” The rest of the stay was much less pleasant. There was no set check-in time, so we arrived in the early afternoon and contacted the owner. They said it was no problem and gave us the cleaning lady’s number, but she was very unpleasant and brushed us off. She said the keys wouldn’t be available until 7 pm and we had to be out by 10 am. At €350 a night, that’s clearly overpriced. The room was damp, with the kitchen, living room, and spa all in one open space, and there was mold, which makes sense given how humid it was. The sheets seemed questionable, the Tassimo machine was dirty, and there was stagnant water. There was only one coffee capsule, too. I’m sure I’m forgetting some details. At that price, we expected at least a basic level of service from the owner. This feels like taking people for a ride. I don’t recommend this “suite.” You can find somewhere much nicer and more affordable, with a proper breakfast.

The sofa bed was really uncomfortable, with an incredibly soft seat and a chaise lounge as hard as concrete. There was a bad smell in the toilet and shower, and the cabinet beside the bed where the pillows and duvet are kept was moldy. With the spa in the main room, the apartment gets very humid, and it doesn’t really match the photos. For eating, there’s only a tiny table for two, even though the place is set up for four, and the oven is broken. The one nice thing was that, since there were six of us, they let us bring an air mattress. Still, I was really disappointed.
