La Cle Des Champs

A lovely spot for unwinding and getting a feel for life in the French countryside.

Claude and her husband gave us such a warm, generous welcome, with thoughtful touches throughout our Christmas stay. We even used the jacuzzi in winter, visited the farm, and watched the cows being milked. It felt magical. We usually get together in one place for the holidays, and La Clé des Champs really impressed us. The cottages had beautiful Christmas decorations, were comfortably heated and fully equipped, and had wonderful bedding. One room was suitable for someone with reduced mobility. Everything seemed arranged to make guests comfortable. A fabulous family Christmas break!

We felt right at home in the three gorgeous cottages, and honestly didn't want to leave. Their lovely decor has a bit of that childhood charm. It's a sunny, welcoming place, with the spa and space to relax, plus friendly smiles all around. We had such a good time with our friends. I'd recommend it to anyone after a peaceful, enchanting getaway.

We arrived by bike along the La Regalante route from Nantes to Mont Saint-Michel. Getting there was an adventure, but staying a few days to relax and chat with the lovely owners made it worthwhile. We stayed with the owners' grandparents 🥰, and the food was spectacular. So many things were homemade, including pastries, jam, fresh cheese, gratin, and crumble. You need a proper appetite to try it all, and it was delicious. Our cabin was Lucien et Suzanne, one of the small ones. It was special and beautiful, full of carefully chosen rescued and restored antiques turned into artistic accessories. You can see the care in every corner, from the living room and kitchen to the bedroom, bathroom, and garden. It's the sort of cabin you'd want all to yourself in your favorite place in the world. We'll be back. They also have larger cabins for groups of friends, just as beautiful as the smaller ones for couples.
