When we arrived on November 15, there was a note saying the hotel was closed for renovations until December 1. We’d booked through the hotel website and had received a confirmation letter, so we had to scramble to find somewhere else. In the end, a kind local couple put us up.

The food was mediocre, and the waitress was rude and unfriendly when we ate here on Monday. We spend a lot of time in France and have always been treated civilly, but not here. Don’t eat here unless you’re desperate.

Things were good overall. The waitress handled both dinner and breakfast efficiently, but she was very brusque and not friendly.

The setting was fantastic, and so were the food and service. I’d highly recommend it.
