We had a fantastic day yesterday with Quina, a really lovely donkey we rented. We walked beside the Gardon through the beautiful Cévennes and had so many laughs with her. Jean-Pierre, the owner, was friendly, organized, and helpful, explaining where to hike and stop for a picnic, and especially how to handle the donkey when she sometimes stops walking.

We got to spend a few hours with Salomé the foodie, on a lovely walk with a refreshing swim along the way. The owners were incredibly kind, and we especially appreciated how attentive they are to their donkeys’ well-being.
The owners were as warm as the southern sun, and we’re grateful they made this lovely outing possible. We walked 8km along the banks of the Gardon, taking in magnificent scenery with two donkeys and our four children. A refreshing swim along the way made it even better.
Martin is a greedy, affectionate 21-year-old donkey and made a wonderful guide for our superb two-hour walk. We went through the village, along the Gardon, then uphill through the woods. It was an ideal outing, even for very young children, and accessible to anyone with a pair of sneakers. Thanks for the warm welcome and kindness.
