We had good communication with the host, who answered our questions while we were there. The house is on a quiet road, and the supermarket is a five-minute walk away. There's a tabac bar two minutes away with lovely owners. The train station is a 25-minute walk, and the bars in the main town are 40 minutes away, though buses are an option. We stayed six nights in June 2025, paying a very good price. We had two upstairs rooms with a bathroom, plus a kitchen and dining area and a lounge downstairs. Sheltered parking made it perfect for motorbikes. Caen felt like it had gone downhill since my last visit two years earlier, so I was careful to keep my phone, wallet and keys secure. Would I stay again? Probably, if I came back on motorbikes.
