Zenao Appart'hôtels Montreuil

It was very hot in the apartment on summer days, with no air conditioning or fan. The room also felt unsettling because of its location, and there was hardly any decoration or furniture. The aparthotel is actually a senior residence, and it was hard to find, with no clear directions and signs all referring to the senior residence. The apartment had only the bare essentials, no kitchen tools apart from cutlery, no washing-up supplies, and no kitchen towels. It was mostly clean, though there was a large mould-looking stain on the shower floor. Breakfast was very basic. It just about did the job, but I wouldn’t stay again.

The evening check-in was approved, but they wouldn’t let me check in that night. The rooms were dirty, and I wasn’t keen on breakfast. It was just one baguette, one croissant, and one yogurt. Drinks were tea, coffee, and juice.

There’s no air conditioning in the apartment, which made the stay uncomfortable in warmer weather. When I asked for extra towels at check-in, the receptionist bluntly said “no.” I expected better from Zenao Appart'hôtels Montreuil, especially given the convenient location, but the poor service and missing basic comforts overshadowed any positives. For Americans or anyone who cares about comfort and good customer service, I strongly recommend finding another place. The lack of hospitality and consideration was disappointing. Stay away and save yourself the trouble.

Check-in has to happen before 21hrs, since no staff are there after that. We booked Zenao, but after a long uber ride from the airport it took us a while to figure out we were actually staying at STELLA. The signs are poor, and the property is hidden in a compound behind secure gates and fences. The apartment was clean but soulless, with great views into adjoining properties. The small bed just about fit two people, and there’s no headboard, only a brick wall. If you want morning coffee or tea, buy it outside. I went to reception for a hair dryer and was promptly dismissed with a firm no. The kitchen could use a waste bin, among other things. Keep your expectations low and you won’t be disappointed.
