Etienne made our visit in June with my wife such a pleasure. His homemade breakfast, enjoyed while looking out over the scenery of Moustiers, was wonderful, and he was quick to respond and very helpful. We absolutely loved L'Escalo and would highly recommend staying with Etienne, as well as visiting Moustiers.

The accommodation is spacious, comfortable, and right in the center, with generous provisions and hosts who know the area well. There are stairs, but we're retirees and managed them; the owners can help if needed. Email them directly to book. The village is beautiful, and staying here made us fall in love with it. We didn't want to leave.

We felt so at home here and can't wait to return. It's a lovely little place with real character, and the rooms are beautiful and have everything you need. Etienne is such a kind, helpful guy and is always around if you have questions or need information.

Right in the center, with a lovely view from the rooftop terrace.

I'd booked three nights on March 19, and a month before our stay in Moustiers, Booking.com emailed to say the reservation had been cancelled because of “overbooking.” The managers cancelled it, and when I messaged to ask what had happened, I got no response at all. That's extremely disrespectful and unacceptable. People plan ahead so they can compare places and find the best price. I won't set foot in this establishment, and I'll tell everyone I know about how they handled this.
