The stay itself was fine, but my Visa was charged twice for the booking, for around €200. I've made several calls and sent various emails. Each time I was told they were working on the refund and would sort it out the following week, or that a new system meant their accountant was fixing things. I've been waiting since May, six months now. I had my lawyer send an official complaint and payment request, then send it again a month later. I've accepted I won't get the money back. This isn't the first review about how they handle visitors' questions. Unacceptable and incompetent way to run a business. Don't visit.

There's plenty of parking behind the property, and the place is excellent value. Our two rooms were comfortable and well equipped, and the villa itself is amazing, with beautiful decor. The owners are so charming and did everything they could to make us happy. Breakfast was as lovely as other guests say, all homemade and delicious.

Breakfast was the highlight for me: fresh bread, homemade jams, and French press coffee. The host also helped translate our car problem for the local dealership after kindly letting us arrive and park early when the issue came up on the way there. The garden is lovely and peaceful, with a little fish pond my daughter enjoyed. The lobby and breakfast room are elegantly decorated, and there are original artworks throughout. Check-in was easy, and the host upgraded our room. A couple of things to know: there's a gate, so they need your exact arrival time to let you in. Our car was very low and scraped a little on the way out. The room was a good size, but the bathroom was small. The rolladens are great if you like a dark room, though it was really hot when we traveled and the fan didn't cool us much. That's summer in Europe. I imagine this place would feel magical in the cooler months.

The hosts were incredibly generous and gracious. We even left with some samples of the owner's art that we'll treasure, and had one of the best breakfasts we've ever eaten. We were lucky to find this lovely Chambre d’Hotes in Mulhouse while driving from Paris toward Austria. Our family suite had two large, comfortable bedrooms and a luxurious bathroom. Thanks for such a wonderful stay.
