Aparthotel Adagio Access Nancy Centre

I had to change my travel plans and cancel a booking I made through the adagio website. Payment had gone through, but I asked politely for a refund about five minutes after booking and didn't like the response. As promised, here's my review. I'll never use your platform again. I recommend hotels.com, their customer service is superb.

The bed was comfortable, and the room was very good, with everything we needed. We like aparthotels, and this was a good, simpler example. But the hotel's policy won't let the air-conditioning go below 24 degrees. That's much too hot for us Scots to sleep, and having it on didn't help, we sweated and tossed and turned all night. Arriving by car could be explained better too. There's no intercom, so you need to go to Reception for access, and the car park is under the building, not the one behind it that it looks like. The pricing also needs to be clearer. The website makes it sound free, but it was far from free.

I arrived with my luggage and had to wait outside while staff took their two-and-a-half-hour lunch break. The hotel charges €200+, but wouldn't let guests leave their bags before check-in, and the email didn't say reception closes from 12-2:30 p.m. What a place!

We stopped over in Nancy on the way to Germany. The property was really nice and close to the city center.
