The hosts were so friendly, and our room was clean and spacious. We loved the mesmerizing view from the balcony, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of variety. The place is a bit higher up in the city, so we took buses or a taxi to get there, but it was totally worth it. One of our best stays, and I definitely recommend it!

The views across the city and surrounding area are amazing. Our room was small but comfortable, with everything we needed and a wonderful balcony to enjoy that view. It wasn’t expensive, though it’s quite far from downtown and most amenities. We had a car, so that wasn’t a problem, but street parking could be a little difficult. The staff were nice, and checking in after hours went smoothly.

We only stayed one night at the Excelsior Hotel in Nice, and it was a pleasant visit. The hotel is conveniently placed and has a charming boutique feel, mixing classic and modern design. Our room was clean and comfortable, if a little small, as city rooms in Europe often are. The small balcony was a nice extra for a bit of fresh air, and the air conditioning kept the room cool throughout our stay, a real plus in warmer weather. Wi-Fi was decent for browsing and checking emails. The staff made us feel welcome right away, helped with check-in, answered questions and shared local tips. Breakfast was another highlight, fresh and varied, with something for different tastes. A nice start before going out to explore. The rooms are compact, but the cleanliness, effective air conditioning and warm service make the Excelsior a solid choice for a short stay in Nice.

A slightly late review of our wonderful April stay at Hotel Le Panoramic. This independent hotel has plenty of character and warmth, with an easy romantic feel, set in the hills above Nice. Gino, his wife and their friendly team made us feel at home. We arrived well after reception hours, but Gino had waited for us and offered a complimentary drink that helped take the edge off the journey. Our room suited the original villa’s style, with two shuttered windows and lovely views. The bed was comfortable, we slept well, and the bathroom facilities were good. We were lucky to have a room with its own terrace, table and chairs. In the evenings, we’d get wine or beer from the bar and watch the city lights twinkle as the sun went down. From there you can also spot planes taking off and landing at Nice airport in the distance. Bring binoculars if you want to enjoy that properly. Most mornings we had a pleasant continental breakfast with stunning views across the city and out to the Mediterranean. One morning we tried the American breakfast, a tasty cooked option. The small grounds are landscaped with attractive exotic plants, and there’s a tucked-away seating area that makes a nice spot for a relaxing drink. The panoramic view really is everywhere, inside and out, taking in the city, sea and surrounding hills. The elevated position is what makes it possible, so keep that in mind if you plan to walk. It was fine for us, and we often went into town and back on foot. There’s no dedicated hotel parking, but free roadside parking is available opposite. A bus stops right outside until early evening, and Nice has good train, tram and bus services. Gino can give you the details. It felt like a home from home for our week and a welcome change from the usual chain hotels. We’d happily recommend Hotel Le Panoramic if you want a personal stay in Nice.

We’re staying here right now and really like this hotel. It’s a little way from central Nice, but that’s fine with us. The views are amazing, and we love our small terrace. We’re here with our twin boys, and it’s working perfectly for our family. Breakfast is fresh and yummy, and the staff are so kind, friendly and helpful. Thanks for making our holiday special. We’ll be back!
