Le Moulin De Vaux

The setting at Le Moulin de Vaux is idyllic, and the people are genuine and clearly love animals. They welcomed our dog everywhere, even in the breakfast room. It’s a good fit if you want somewhere simple rather than luxurious.

The peaceful, pretty setting made this a lovely place to spend time. The welcome was friendly, and while our son was doing the pony activity, we could sit quietly under the pergola with a book and coffee or sodas. He chose the 2.5-hour afternoon session and had a wonderful time: first he helped care for the pony, then played games in the arena to get comfortable before going for a ride. They finished with a small snack, a drink and a slice of cake. Gaëlle led it with kindness and patience, and was a great teacher. Thanks to the team, we really recommend it.

Our children, aged 3 and 6, had a lovely pony ride. The ponies stayed calm with them despite the stormy weather and biting flies, and the setting was well suited to a ride for young kids. We were warmly welcomed. A drink afterward is included, and you can book a meal too. Thanks for a wonderful time.

Our two horses could graze in a paddock when we stopped here, and we stayed overnight in a room at the gîte with our dog. Gaelle, François, and Valérie run this peaceful equestrian center and gîte with professionalism and kindness, showing respect for nature and animals. I recommend Moulin de Vaux to anyone who loves horses and nature. If you stay overnight, I encourage you to join them for dinner.
