The rooms were decent, but we had a frustratingly slow time at both the hotel and the restaurant. At breakfast the next morning, every available table still had dirty dishes on it, so I had to track down the attendant and ask her to clear one. Dinner had been just as bad. They seated us quickly, then left us for 20 minutes without water or taking our order. My husband first asked for ham, which they didn't have, then chose a burger. An hour after we ordered, they told him that wasn't available either. We still had no drinks or bread, and the food finally arrived 70 minutes after ordering, 90 minutes after we sat down. It was fine, but nowhere near good enough to make that wait worthwhile. Other tables seemed to be waiting too, though a couple who appeared to know the staff got their meal just 20 minutes after arriving. A large group seated upstairs after us was also served before we were. Nobody was openly rude, just inattentive. Our server seemed genuinely embarrassed when she had to say they couldn't provide the order after all that time. They seemed understaffed and to be taking on more guests than they could handle.

The coffee was delicious, but I wouldn't recommend going here for lunch. Yesterday I ordered three whiskies listed on the drinks menu, and they didn't have any of them. The starter I chose from the food menu was unavailable too. There were flies everywhere, though that wasn't the restaurant's fault.

The service could be quicker and more organized, though the servers were friendly. The local food was delicious, portions were generous, and there was a good wine selection.

I left a hard drive behind, and the owner promptly helped me get it back home. Thanks very much! The staff were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and I enjoyed both the hotel and the restaurant. The food was very nice and well cooked. The menu isn't huge, but it's balanced. The restaurant feels cozy, though some music or another touch to liven it up would be nice. I'd also like to see more beer choices, since the local brewers are quite good. All in all, a great place.

Our room had a lovely view of the Basilique and a small balcony, which made the stay special. The rooms feel a little more like a hostel than a hotel, but they were clean and had everything we needed. The bathroom was modern and well equipped.
