We were glad we chose this place for our overnight stop on the way back from the Dordogne to the channel tunnel. The walk along the riverside into Orléans centre took about 10 minutes and was lovely. Our room, 115, looked out over the river. It was quiet, clean and in a perfect location, with a clean bathroom and a very comfortable mattress. We got a friendly welcome, and could easily have stayed for a few nights. We’ll definitely come back.

The room was too warm, which was a downside. Otherwise, the rooms were comfortable, and there was free private parking. The hotel is by the river and about a 10-minute walk from the city centre.

We had friendly, helpful service and a good breakfast buffet with both hot and cold options. Our spacious, clean room had a huge bed and looked over the Loire river. It’s an easy drive from the motorway, with parking at the rear, and just a short walk to the city centre, where there are plenty of restaurants, cafes and bars. A great place to stay in Orleans or to break up a long drive.

I’m due to do a Loire valley bike ride in two days, and I’ll be telling the tour company this isn’t a hotel they should use. I expect to come away with a cold after staying here. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone visiting in autumn. The hotel is unacceptably cold. I spoke to reception and was told they wouldn’t turn on the heating for a few days, by which time I’d have left. Tomorrow is 2 October, and the morning temperature is forecast to be 8 degrees. Do the French really not think that’s cold? I paid a fair price and believe guests should get a reasonable level of comfort. The hotel clearly doesn’t agree and seems to care only about costs, not guest comfort.

We got a very friendly welcome and service. The rooms were comfortable, and we enjoyed the view of the river from outside. The hotel’s location overlooking the Loire is beautiful. Breakfast was satisfactory for both quality and variety.
