La Chaumière

Miriam is a lovely host, and her cooking is spectacular. The rooms feel warm and welcoming, with plenty of space, comfortable furnishings, and beautiful decor. The town itself is quaint and lovely on the banks of the Loire. Such a treasure of a find, and we’ll be back.

I felt welcome as soon as I checked in, thanks to the very friendly host. It really felt like a home away from home. The room had lots of space, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the en-suite bathroom was just right. The food was amazing. I’d definitely recommend staying here.

The hosts were so welcoming, and their elegant style shows in all the details. The place is beautifully decorated and spotless, with a lovely big lounge and garden with a pool to enjoy during your stay. My room was spacious and comfortable, and the bathroom was clean and classy. The food and bathroom products were top quality too. It’s right in the center, and I couldn’t recommend it more. After a long day on our bikes, the pool was a real treat. It’s a proper deep pool, more than 5.5 feet, which is rare even at newly built hotels, and we were also glad to find chilled water waiting when we checked in. Miriam is a fantastic host who runs a charming inn right by the Loire a Velo/EuroVelo 6 bike path. Our room had comfortable beds and a recently renovated, generously sized bathroom with a bathtub. We also had a delicious dinner at la Chaumiere. I highly recommend staying here while visiting the Loire Valley, especially if you’re heading to Sancerre or Pouilly Fume.
