L'Estancat

A real gem, with a generous breakfast made from produce grown in the garden. Catherine welcomed us into her home and speaks very good English. Just be aware there aren't any local restaurants within walking distance.

Catherine was so welcoming and helpful, and the house has superb views of the Pyrenees. We had a lovely five days at l'Estancat. Our room and en-suite bathroom were roomy and tastefully done, and the village road was quiet enough for peaceful nights. We also spent time relaxing in the large garden under the trees. It was well placed for visiting Pau and Nay, and the Pyrenees are close by for walks. There are walks in the surrounding area too, so you don't have to drive. I'd definitely recommend Catherine's B&B to singles, couples or families wanting to discover the region.

We keep coming back, and plan to again. We've stayed here several times while travelling from Zurick to Porto, and every stay has been completely satisfying. The food is homemade and delicious, and the service feels both professional and warm and personal. Our separate room is elegant, clean and inviting. We'd give this place our highest recommendation.

Catherine looked after us throughout the stay, with helpful tips on what to see and do nearby and several excellent breakfasts. The rooms are tastefully furnished and the bedding is firm. We can definitely recommend L’ Estancat.
