Aparthotel Adagio Access Paris Philippe Auguste

I booked a stay with payment due on arrival, but the hotel put a £152.58 hold on my card without warning. That wasn’t mentioned when I booked, and I only noticed after checking my bank account. When I asked about it, they called it a “pre-authorisation” and said it wouldn’t be released until after my stay, which contradicted the pay-on-arrival promise. I cancelled because of the lack of transparency, and I’m still waiting for the money to be returned. They also haven’t replied to my refund email. A very poor first impression.

They were very polite and keen to help. I’d accidentally left an item behind, and the staff did their best to help me get it back and arrange its return. I appreciate how cooperative they were and the effort they made.

It was quiet, with large rooms, windows, and a handy little kitchen. I’d recommend it.

We really enjoyed our stay. The neighborhood is lively, with lots of places to eat, and the apartment was a great size for our family of four. The sofa bed was big and easy to pull out, and the sheets were already on it. We slept with the windows open on the very quiet street and rarely heard a sound. We also got a nice view of the famous cemetery. The staff were great and very helpful, with decent to good English, a little German, and even a bit of Dutch. The bathroom was cramped and could use an update. It’s a bit outside the city center, but the main Line 2 subway station is under five minutes away on foot, with a small Casino supermarket and a bakery nearby. At this price, the quality and location are hard to beat. I’d choose it first on another visit.
