Hôtel Beauséjour Ranelagh

C'etait fantastique! The room felt cozy, unique, and homey, with lots of thoughtful touches around the property. The staff were attentive and helpful, almost like family, and there are lovely places to eat within walking distance. The location is great, with excellent public transit, including easy access to and from the airport. They also make things easy for guests who aren't fluent in French. I'd highly recommend it for any kind of trip.

I don't enjoy leaving bad reviews and usually sympathize with business owners, but some of the five star praise for mediocre service here feels questionable. I booked during Fashion Week, when rooms were scarce and prices inflated. I hope I never have to stay here again. The location is hard to beat. I love the quiet 16th Arr, and the hotel is close to the park, subways, supermarkets, independent stores, and restaurants. It's a lovely neighborhood to call home in Paris. There is original art throughout, I was able to check in early, and the mattress, pillows, and sheets were very good. I slept well. But there is no ramp at the front door. I saw a disabled woman with a walker struggle to get out, which wasn't okay. A faucet in my bathroom dripped constantly. I told staff twice because water is precious and this was a terrible waste, but it was never fixed during my stay. The rooms are tiny. At over $300 a night, I could touch both walls with my arms. The rooms also feel run down: bathroom tiles were broken, there was nowhere for luggage or even a bottle of water beside the bed, there were no towel hooks, and the shower had no door, so the whole bathroom got wet. Noise insulation was poor, with vacuuming, banging on walls, repairs, and housekeeping noises through the day. There was also an unexplained $300 charge on my bill. I had to ask twice to get it removed, and no explanation was ever given. People often try to cheat me, but I'll chalk this one up to a “mistake.”

The location in the 16th was perfect, right by a bakery and the Metro. The receptionists were very helpful, and the room had a lovely balcony and a fantastic shower.

The hotel is in an amazing spot, literally a one minute walk from the Metro station. Depending on where you're headed, authentic Paris neighborhoods are about 20-30 minutes away by foot or Metro. Our room was very clean, and the staff were so accommodating!
