The quiet street keeps you away from the noise and bustle of the more touristy areas, but the neighborhood is still fun and well located. Vavin and Notre-Dame de Champs metro stations are both close, so getting around Paris is easy. The rooms are beautiful, clean, well organized, and have all the amenities. Service was incredible, 10/10. The staff were welcoming, helpful, and friendly. Breakfast was amazing too, from the coffee and tea to the yogurt and bread. I miss it already. Thank you Le Six for making this visit so special 🌟

We could hear voices and rolling suitcases in the hallway from our room, so noise there is something to keep in mind. Otherwise, we had a wonderful stay and would gladly come back or recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet, walkable neighborhood close to everything. It’s a lively but peaceful area, with plenty of good food nearby and several metro lines for getting around Paris, including to Gare de l’Est. Our room was clean, comfortable, and roomy enough, with a particularly comfortable bed for resting after long days. The bathroom was clean and well equipped, and the slippers were a nice touch. A welcome note and piece of chocolate were waiting in the room, and umbrellas were available there and in the lobby. The lobby and lounge felt calm and cozy, good places to sit and relax. Staff were welcoming and helpful from the start. Our flight landed early, long before check-in, but they stored our bags right away so we could explore. When the room was ready, they checked us in and had already brought the bags up. That was thoughtful.

For the prices listed, I think this hotel is fair value. The rooms were average, and the noise level was quite high given the location. Breakfast offered a very inclusive selection. Customer service was far above average for what I’ve experienced in Paris.

We stayed four nights at le six, in room 302. The superior room had generous space for our large luggage, so we could still move around easily, something that can be tricky in Paris hotels. There was good clothing storage, a large shower with good pressure, and everything worked. It made a good base for exploring rive gauche. The people were the highlight. Everyone was friendly and accommodating, including the famous Charles lol, and the rest of the staff were just as supportive. That alone would make me consider coming back. We asked for a quieter room and the team accommodated us, but noise was still an issue and affected our stay. Road noise and what we think was ambient metro noise came through, perhaps because the windows and door weren’t modern triple-pane ones. We also heard people upstairs walking, possibly in shoes on wood floors, and a loud family next door for two nights, including doors closing. The hotel can’t control how guests behave, but it’s something to be aware of. A couple of other suggestions for the property and future guests: the king bed was a decent size and okay, though, as another guest noted, a pillow top might make it more comfortable depending on how firm you like a mattress. You could ask about one. The TV doesn’t have the latest tech, and we had trouble casting to streaming services. Amazon worked, but Disney, Netflix, and Apple TV didn’t. There were no English-language TV channels, though some four-star hotels have them. We made do with YouTube, and that may not matter to everyone. Wishing the staff well!

Monsieur Charles made a real difference to our stay. He was professional and welcoming, gave us restaurant and sightseeing ideas, helped us figure out metro passes, and arranged taxis for the station and an early airport trip. When I got stuck trying to book the Notre Dame Tour, he confirmed I was on the right website and suggested trying at off-peak hours because it was so busy. He’s a real credit to Hotel le Six. Madame Maylis was also upbeat, professional, and quick to help. I often stopped by to refill my water bottle and pick up the free sparkling water from behind the bar. This was our second visit to L'Hotel le Six, and we were able to get the same room we’d had eight years earlier. It looked onto the street and had two tiny balconies. We couldn’t check in early because the hotel was busy that morning, but the staff apologized and did what they could to help. The location is right in the heart of Montparnasse, around the corner from three metro lines and a few blocks from a train station. We had breakfast at the hotel each morning. There was fresh bread, pastries, eggs, sausage, ham, potatoes, cereal, fruit, nuts, cheese, sliced meat, and freshly squeezed juice. The staff kept everything clean and replenished, made lovely cappuccinos, and noticed when we needed a refill. I’d also contacted the hotel ahead of time for advice about a hotel in Avignon, and they replied quickly and answered all my questions. We’ll stay at Hotel le Six whenever we visit Paris.
