Citadines Montmartre Paris

I spent seven days here and chose to have breakfast in my room. The hotel did what it set out to do very well, and I liked being near subway stations, markets, and good restaurants. The coffee machine deserves a mention, get the allonge. The neighbourhood felt dead, joking. I’d stay again.

I was there for 13 nights in September, and left very disappointed by the service and location. The night before I left, young people were smoking pot outside the hotel. When you ask for help, they may say the item is locked and, according to them, hotel protocol means they can’t help after a certain hour. Even when customers are in excruciating pain, they’re not willing to help. This isn’t a friendly place to stay.

A cozy, nice apartment in a really convenient spot. Lots of coffee shops and restaurants are close by, and plenty of places are within walking distance. Sacré-Cœur was a 10-minute walk for me.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, with a microwave, dishwasher, fridge, toaster, kettle, induction hob, and all the household things you need to cook. Coffee, tea, and cold tap water are available free around the clock. There’s a breakfast room if you’d rather eat on site, and a solarium on the top floor where you can take in views of París with a coffee. The whole place feels more relaxed than a usual hotel, with a more independent, home-like setup that suits longer stays or anyone who wants to self-cater. It’s part of the Citadines Aparthotels chain, in Montmartre near Sacré-Cœur Basilica and Place du Tertre, where artists show their work. Lamarck-Caulaincourt and Abbesses metro stations are nearby, making it easy to get around Paris. The staff were very polite and nice, especially Ines, a lovely lady who was really concerned that we be comfortable the whole time. Very recommended.
