Hotel Elysées Céramic

It was my first time in Paris, in June, and staying here made getting around easy. There was a station just up the road, and we caught every line we needed. The rooms felt a bit cramped, but we didn't mind since we were out after breakfast every day. The front desk helped us find things to do and places to eat that were more geared toward locals. We had a fun trip.

We had a wonderful view from our room, and the hotel is in a fantastic spot with transport routes within walking distance and lots of excellent restaurants nearby. The staff were very attentive. Our train was still a while off after checkout, but they kindly looked after our belongings. Many thanks to all the reception staff, especially Snoussy.

This was a very disappointing stay. There is no bellboy service, so you have to handle your own luggage. With stairs at the entrance, guests have to carry their bags up and down, which is especially inconvenient for families, older people, or anyone with heavy luggage. The lift is tiny and very slow, making the hassle worse. For a hotel in Paris, this level of service is really unacceptable.

The room was small but functional and clean, with an amazing bathroom, working air conditioning, and daily housekeeping. We were on the 7th floor and had no view. There was a small outdoor area, but the decor or maintenance could use some tidying up. The single small lift is very slow and can be inconvenient when busy. Location was perfect, close to the metro, city center, and lots of restaurants. They only serve breakfast, no lunch or dinner, but that was fine for us. We stayed 3 nights. We were surprised by charges that hadn't been mentioned beforehand: a city tax of €5.50 per person per night, imposed by the French government, and a €100 deposit requested at check-in. Thank you.
