FRATERNITY-HOTEL

I stayed on the first floor in a clean women-only room with comfortable beds. At 1.75 m tall, I fit fine in the bed. There were two showers, heating set to 20 c, which was lovely in January, and electronic lockers, so you don't need to bring a lock. The lockers fit a small backpack but not a suitcase. The one restroom per room is outside the room by the stairs, but it's very close. There isn't an elevator. You'll need to bring your own towel or rent one from the hostel for 3 euros. Sara at the entrance desk was super nice and helpful.

There's a pleasant little courtyard with several tables and chairs outside, plus plenty of comfortable seats inside. It's a nice spot to chat or just relax quietly. In the mornings, they serve a filling breakfast for 9eur on the ground floor, where you check in. They also have drinks like beer during the rest of the day, along with small coffees and tea. The hostel feels fairly new, is stylish and clean, and the two young women on staff were very welcoming and smiley. The shared toilets were clean and tastefully decorated, too. One thing to know: luggage storage before or after your stay costs extra. As of March 2026, it was 5 euros per suitcase and 3 euros per handbag or rucksack.

The prices are absolutely fair, and I loved the sturdy beds and privacy curtains. It was very clean, too. For whatever reason, this hostel also didn't seem to attract the sort of crowd that can make some hostels unpleasant, like loud teenagers or people with poor hygiene or other annoying behaviour. One of the best hostels I've stayed in.

The bathrooms and toilets were clean, the rooms spacious, and there was enough privacy. The location is pretty good and close to the station, about a 30 min metro ride to the center. There's a microwave near reception if you want to heat up food. At checkout, the gentleman at reception carried my luggage down the steep stairs, and I really appreciated that. There are some drawbacks: no elevator, and the lockers weren't working. I was told the key to mine was lost, but it was battery-operated and had no batteries. Breakfast was all carbs, with no protein or savory food at all. For those reasons, I'm giving it 4 stars. It was a decent stay, but if I stayed again, I wouldn't order breakfast.
