Grand Hôtel de L'Univers

The hotel's location made exploring easy: the Louvre was a 12-minute walk away and Notre Dame 10 minutes, with restaurants, bakeries, boutiques, and supermarkets right outside. During our week in Paris, the staff were kind and helpful throughout, even lending us umbrellas in the rain. My sister and I were especially touched when they upgraded our room, making her first Paris visit feel even more special. We had a spacious, comfortable room on the fifth floor, with a stocked minibar and a lovely street view. It had everything we needed, including monogrammed robes and stationery on the desk. The hotel itself is elegant, with an old-world European feel, a gorgeous lobby, and thoughtful decor throughout. Breakfast is available each morning for €15 per person, and the breakfast staff were friendly and accommodating. They offer airport transportation, though we took the metro. Thank you to everyone at Grand Hôtel de L'Univers for making our stay so enjoyable.

The room and bed were tiny, but with such a handy location I didn't mind. The Louvre, Eiffel Tower, and Notre Dame are all walkable, and there are loads of good places to eat and drink right nearby.

We've stayed twice and I'd happily come back. The room is great for such a small hotel, with an opening window that lets you feel the life outside, good air conditioning, and real quiet once the window is shut. The bed is comfortable, the decor is fun, and the little bathroom is great. Lovely staff, lovely hotel, and a wonderful location.

We were there for four nights during a very cold spell in Paris, and the heating worked well. The rooms were well kept, the location was very good, and they sorted out everything we asked for. We were completely satisfied and will come back. I'd recommend it.
