Hôtel du Levant

From the hotel in the Latin Quarter, it’s a short walk to the Seine, Notre-Dame and several major Metro stations, with local restaurants and shops just steps away. I stayed eight nights in a cozy, stylish single room with a modern bathroom. It was quiet, and the window looked onto the central courtyard. Breakfast had lots of breads, cheeses, jams, fruit and cereal, plus coffee, tea and hot water for boiling eggs. It can get crowded later in the morning, so I’d go early. The staff were kind and professional.

This was my fourth stay, and it’s still my favorite hotel in Paris. The service is 5 star, and the rooms feel luxurious. From the door you’re straight into the Latin Quarter, with its music and restaurants. St Michel metro and RER station are easy to reach on foot, and you can walk to Notre Dame, St Chapelle, the Louvre, Luxembourg Gardens and more. The buffet breakfast has a wide choice to fuel up before exploring. If I could give it 10 stars, I would. We’ll be back.

We found the family suite larger than expected, and the beds were comfortable. The staff went above and beyond, and breakfast was included each day, with delicious locally sourced food. This boutique hotel was perfectly placed in the Latin Quarter for our Paris stay. Highly recommend it, and we’ll stay again.

The courtyard view made it possible to open the window at night and cool down my top-floor room, which got a little warm during the day. The room was relatively large, with good storage, and the bed was really comfortable. The toilet was in a separate water closet from the shower and sink, so washing my hands meant walking across the room. Breakfast was small but adequate. My only complaint was the elevator, which sometimes took a few minutes to come when I pressed the button. A bit annoying.
