Hotel Alhambra

The reception staff weren’t helpful or friendly, and the heating situation made the stay miserable. It was snowing outside, the rooms felt freezing, and the bathroom was too cold for us to shower. There was no room control for setting the temperature. When we asked, reception said the winter maximum was 21 degrees and insisted the rooms were warm. After we got cold and sick, they said hotel staff controlled the heating and could raise it by only two degrees if we were cold. Then they turned it off again overnight. Paying such a high price and not being allowed to regulate the room heat is unacceptable. I wouldn’t choose this hotel in winter.

We had a great time and would come back. The hotel has a small lift, which was one reason I picked it, and the staff were very friendly. Oberkamph Metro is only about 150 metres away. There are plenty of cafes and boulangerie nearby, and we found a halal place to eat just around the corner.

We had a comfortable room with everything we needed, and the breakfast was good. The location worked well too, with restaurants, shops, and handy metro stops nearby. We had a very pleasant one-night stay.

We keep returning to Hotel Alhambra year after year. The staff are friendly and professional, and they’re attentive and helpful throughout the stay. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with bedding that makes for a good night’s sleep. I also like the garden courtyard. It’s ideally placed near the Marais, République, and plenty of good local spots. For a convenient and comfortable Paris stay with good service, this is a solid choice, and we continue to recommend it.
