Hôtel Audran

The room was comfortable and really clean, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We loved the location too, with several metro lines nearby and bakeries and great restaurants right outside. Hotel Audran was charming, and we’d happily stay again and recommend it.

The room was small, the mattress very firm, and temperature control was limited. The hotel decides whether the air conditioning is set to heat or cool, and guests can only adjust it a couple of degrees. My third-floor room had two large opening windows, but keeping them open wasn’t practical: the café downstairs stayed open until around 2am, and garbage collection around 6am brought more noise. I could also hear neighboring guests when they spoke loudly, despite the walls being described as soundproof. If quiet sleep, a softer bed, or control over the temperature matters to you, this may not be the right fit. On the other hand, the staff were consistently helpful, the hotel has a pleasant boutique feel, and the room had all the amenities listed. Its location is ideal for sightseeing, with attractions, shops, and places to eat within easy walking distance. The accommodations felt pretty standard for Europe. I’d also recommend Pizza Caratello and Venchi gelato shop across the street.

The staff were so kind and helpful, and breakfast was cozy and really nice. We loved the room and the views, and the whole stay turned out even better than we expected. It’s easy to walk to lots of sights, monuments, and restaurants from this central location. Well worth the price, and we hope to come back.

Montmartre was lively even around midnight, but our room stayed quiet: the street-facing windows blocked the noise completely when shut, even with a party next door. The hotel had an attendant on hand when we came in, which felt reassuring. Breakfast was plentiful and wonderful, with fresh bread, croissants, cafe au lait, and more. We stayed three nights and got more housekeeping than I expected, including a tightly made bed every day. Everyone was lovely. The hotel sits right in the middle of the hill, making it manageable to explore Montmartre on foot, from Moulin Rouge up to Sacre Coeur. Even my 85 year old Mother could do it. We’d never stayed in Montmartre before, but we’ll definitely return to Hotel Audran.
