Hôtel des Arts Bastille

The room suited us well and was nice. It came with towels, water bottles, body soap, a TV, hangers, lamps, and plugs, though there was no shampoo or conditioner. The staff were helpful and friendly. We stayed in May, and the air conditioning wasn’t working; they couldn’t repair it. It wasn’t too hot, just a bit stuffy, so we opened the window a little at night. The elevator was tiny, enough space for one person and a suitcase. Good value and a good place to stay.

Helpful staff and a family room that worked well for four, with air conditioning, a large shower, wide windows, and a Nespresso coffee maker. There’s no fridge in the room, but we appreciated being allowed to use the one in the breakfast room. It would be useful to have a safe in the room. The hotel is easy to get around from on foot and close to the metro and bus 69. I’d stay again.

A small, tidy hotel that does what you need for the price. Seems a good fit for one person staying briefly, maybe one to three days.

The hotel is cute, and while the rooms are tiny, we expected that. The air conditioning handled a hot summer night well, although the shower temperature kept changing. We probably won’t book again, even though it may be fine for couples or solo guests. I have two partners, and we usually book a king bed for the three of us without trouble. At check-in, the desk staff insisted that wasn’t possible and made us take a second room, which we never used. I understand a charge for another person, but this felt unreasonable since all three of us could indeed share the original room. Also, there is a lift for luggage, but nobody at reception mentioned it after giving us keys to the sixth-floor room, so we hauled our heavy suitcases up the stairs.
