Hôtel Da Vinci & Spa

The front desk service really stood out during my last minute business trip in April 2025. I hadn’t had much time to plan, but the woman at reception helped arrange taxis, gave directions, and even booked a salon appointment at a local business. My taxi driver also complimented how helpful and attentive she was, which might be unusual for Paris. It’s a cute boutique hotel in an ideal location, and there were always refreshments and sweet treats in the lobby. I gave the room 4/5 because mine was a bit small by the standards of some countries. Otherwise, the rooms were nice and the photos are representative.

It’s taken me two years to write this, but the experience has stayed with me. We arrived with our luggage and were abruptly told that our room was no longer available. Staff said we’d been emailed, but we hadn’t, and they couldn’t show us proof when we asked. Nobody had tried calling us either. We were two 19-year-olds in a foreign city, just told on arrival that accommodation around the corner had been arranged for the same price, and that we could still use the spa at da Vinci hotel. The alternative was nowhere near equivalent to a 4-star hotel. It was noisy, the floors creaked constantly, and our room was next to the stairs, so we could hear guests all night. The reception staff were dismissive and arrogant when I raised concerns. It felt as if this wasn’t an isolated incident, but an arrangement between the properties to redirect guests when the hotel was busy or serving higher-paying guests, without proper notice. We were young at the time, and it honestly felt like we were treated as expendable instead of valued paying guests. The lack of professionalism, transparency, and empathy was unacceptable. I’d strongly advise people to think twice before booking. It threw our whole holiday off.

I love the history of this place, and the rooms are cozy. It’s my favourite boutique hotel in Paris, with a great breakfast and a location that makes it easy to walk around. I stay here whenever I’m in town and can’t wait to come back :)

A chic, clean boutique hotel that seems popular with European guests. The staff were enthusiastic and helpful, and there are good local places to eat and drink. It’s well placed for getting around, close to Musee D' Orsay and the Seine, with The Louvre walkable too. There’s also a fashion emporium nearby for both genders.
