The hotel was clean and charming, with friendly staff and good service. It sits in a quiet spot in the busy Latin Quarter, with bars, shops and restaurants just outside. We didn’t try breakfast; after seeing the options, we felt it was pricey. It would be fine if it were included in the room rate. The one thing missing from our room was a kettle.

Once we worked out the heating, the stay was delightful. The room was small, but the view across Rive Gauche Paris was perfect, with the Eiffel tower visible in the distance.

The staff were welcoming and really kind, though we had to be ready to wait. My main issue was cleanliness: the carpet in my room needed vacuuming. It’s an old, small hotel in the crowded Latin Quarter, and the rooms are TINY, smaller than the photos suggest. I wouldn’t recommend it for families. It’s Paris, so know what you’re getting into. I don’t mind old buildings, but the cleaning could be better.

We were on the 6th floor, which was very nice, and the hotel felt cozy, warm and snug. It’s central in the Latin Quarter but usually quiet at night. Breakfast can be ordered downstairs. There’s a Hop on/ Hop off bus stop right across the street, and Notre Dame, St. Chapelle and a lovely park are walkable. Plenty of street shops are nearby, though the sidewalks are narrow and the bike lanes and cobblestone streets get busy.
