Hôtel Le Magnifique (Ex Hôtel Le M Paris)

We found plenty nearby: restaurants, markets, grocery stores, a mall, cafés, and metro access, all within five minutes on foot. The staff were kind and helpful, and Hotel Le M Paris is a convenient base in the 14th arrondissement. It also has a fitness room and a basement restaurant, though we didn’t try either. Our comfort room was clean and had no major problems, but it felt dated and smaller than expected over our seven-night stay. The slanted ceiling made moving around awkward, especially by the window and in the shower, and there was no balcony, so the space felt limited. The fridge never worked; we asked early on to have it fixed, but nobody came to look at it. We arrived ahead of schedule, and early check-in didn’t seem available, so we waited several hours for the room. Being able to drop off our bags early helped. It’s a friendly, well-located hotel, but the layout and maintenance need attention.

Good location, but it feels like a budget hotel charging more than budget prices. It has a bit of a hostel feel without hostel prices.

My girlfriend and I stayed here in May, and it was excellent. Nice rooms and great staff!

The location is very good, with the best attractions within a 30-minute bus ride. But the room, at most, deserves 1.6 stars. It smelled, the walls were scratched and had mold, and the bathroom in our first room was badly affected. Luckily, they gave us another room when I asked. I don’t like being the person who complains, but the hotel’s four-star rating is misleading. Compared with the rooms here and at another four-star hotel where I stayed, I’d generously give this one 1.6 stars. If it were rated 1.6, I’d understand, but four stars is nowhere close. I had to keep insisting that I only wanted two coffees and two croissants, but was told I had to buy the 11-euro breakfast. Giving me two croissants for free doesn’t fix anything. It’s about the experience, and the croissants don’t justify a four-star rating. It’s interesting that the only thing you had to say about everything I wrote was that you gave me two croissants. Some people with mold allergies could need medical help because of these rooms. Shocking!
