Pavillon Courcelles Parc Monceau

We were in a studio booked for two adults and a child. The cot we’d requested wasn’t available until the second day, so luckily we’d brought our own travel cot. We used a quilt for our son’s comfort; we hadn’t brought the mattress, and the quilt was a little stained. The room, kitchen, carpet, and bathroom were clean, and the beds were clean and made daily by the maid. The kettle, microwave, hob, and fridge all worked throughout our stay. The furniture was a bit old and could use replacing or a coat of paint. There were ants on the bathroom floor, though they didn’t really bother us. The shower temperature was hard to set unless you were okay with having less water that was only warm. The staff were always friendly. Breakfast was nice, but the selection was limited and the same things were served every morning. It was at a different hotel around the corner with the same name. We had a great stay and would definitely come again. A few of the things I mentioned could use improvement. Thanks for having us.

We booked at very short notice, and the price was 7/10 while cleanliness was also 7/10. The Wi-Fi gets 0/10. It can work as a place to stay in Paris, but the studio apartments are on the sixth floor and have neither Wi-Fi nor air conditioning. In summer, that was pretty uncomfortable.

The room was dirty, and they hadn’t even flushed the toilet before handing it over to the next guests. We changed rooms, but the next one had a really disgusting, unhygienic personal trash item on the floor. I got locked out of my room too, then waited more than half an hour while they broke the door so I could get back in. The dog in the room next door was very noisy early in the morning, and the bed was broken. I’m embarrassed to say what I went through there.

The location was the one good thing. Paris was extremely hot, and there was no air conditioning, so we slept under wet towels. We had to ask for towels in the first place. Our ground-floor windows faced the street and had no bars, which left me wondering if someone might climb in overnight. The bathroom was so cramped that a really large person might not even fit on the toilet between the wall and shower. The staff seemed uninterested and barely greeted us.
