Hotel Le Malown

The room was dirty, the lift could only fit one person, and after housekeeping had been through we noticed some of our small belongings were missing during our two-night stay. When we asked for more bottled water, the receptionist said there wasn't any left. The staff were very unhelpful. I wouldn't recommend booking here.

My neighbors made noise constantly for all three nights, so I couldn't sleep properly. The hotel staff refused to call the police and wouldn't give me the manager's number. They told me directly they weren't going to call the police and that I should call myself if I needed to. They don't care about guests' problems. Don't stay here.

We arrived at Le Malown on Friday to find there was no water. The problem was partly fixed, but for the rest of our stay we only had cold water. We contacted reception several times, yet it wasn't until Saturday morning that they told us hot water wouldn't be available for the whole stay. They should have told us when we arrived, and the late notice badly disrupted our plans. There were four women in our group, and going two or three days without a proper shower was unacceptable. After a lot of discussion and no solution from the hotel, I asked for a full refund and we had to move to another hotel. No hot water, poor communication, and poor service from reception made the stay horrible. Management failed to provide an essential service or handle the situation properly. I can't recommend this hotel and wouldn't stay again. We still haven't received the refund.

Booking.com mistakenly charged my girlfriend's card €760. She canceled the reservation straight away, and Booking.com told us the hotel could charge that amount but could also refund it. The hotel staff have been unresponsive and still haven't returned money that is rightfully ours, despite how serious this is. We're going to take legal action and pursue it.
