The hotel’s atmosphere isn’t really glamour or luxury, and the interior is less extravagant than you might expect. We used to stay here when breakfast was better, with berries and pies. There’s a fireplace and comfortable sofas that make the place cozy, plus a mini gym. The mini-pool is narrow and holds no more than four people, so it gets crowded. The steam bath needs an appointment, and the visit is limited to 30 minutes. In the spa there’s plain water and apples, but no water cooler or hot tea, which is usually served in spas. I liked seeing beehives on the hotel’s working balcony, though it must be hard for the bees to find nectar in central Paris. What really affected our rest was the staff’s behavior. Three times, while I was showering, someone entered the room without warning. Staff would open the closed door with a key without knocking, even when guests were inside. I also know friends whose valuable item was taken from their room and returned only after an official request, with no apology from staff. Things like this create a tense atmosphere. I think the managers should speak to the staff, if they even know what’s going on in the hotel.

The spa and hammam are worth booking ahead for. We had the whole space to ourselves, which felt like a real luxury. We spent three nights at this beautiful boutique hotel, and the atmosphere was calm and inspiring from the start. The lobby feels more like a gallery, with art, design, and coffee table books throughout, all thoughtfully chosen. Breakfast was a highlight, fresh and generous, served with an easy elegance that felt very Parisian. The team were warm, attentive, and genuinely kind, and made us feel at home right away. A lovely mix of design, comfort, and Parisian character.

The hotel is in a quiet, comfortable, safe area, though it isn’t especially central. Cadet metro station, Line 7, is directly across the street, and one stop gets you to several major tourist attractions. It’s also about a 12-minute walk to the Opéra district, so the location still worked well for me. I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could, solely because of the location. The cleanliness was excellent, and the facilities, including the pool, sauna, changing rooms, and luggage storage, felt truly five-star. The service was outstanding, with warm, caring staff. Excellent boutique hotel.

The fire alarm went off three times during the one night I stayed, at 2 am, 7 am, and 9 am. Guests were sent out into the cold, and there was no apology, compensation, or explanation. By the third alarm, staff and guests were simply staying inside, eating breakfast and working with the very noisy alarm in the background. I think that was potentially dangerous, and the way it was handled and explained was very poor. The hotel disappointed me from the start, over both small details and bigger issues. It was overpriced, with poor-quality service. This was my last stay here. Find another hotel, this one sucks.

There was major building work right outside room 312, and the drilling and extreme noise woke me every day around 8 am. The builders smoked, including weed, and the room stank of drugs. I felt high just from the fumes. The corridor smelled strongly of weed and smoke too, and I couldn’t use my balcony. The pool was closed for two days of my three-night stay. I only got to use it on the final day, and it was so cold I couldn’t swim. I told management and was offered a free drink from the bar, which was outrageous. When I went to get it, the manager went “missing” for 15 minutes, and my voucher never got sorted. I asked for a partial refund and they avoided the request. A horrible hotel and awful setting. Avoid at all costs.
