The room was filthy, with a dirty chair and floor. The blanket smelled bad, and there was an unpleasant odor from the toilet. The window wouldn't shut properly and stayed open, leaving the room very cold. There was no toilet paper, towels, or soap, and no elevator either. This was the worst experience, and I wouldn't recommend the hotel.

I'm frugal and don't need much. I live in a van in the US, so my standards are low, but this place was traumatic. Save yourself and stay somewhere else. I booked online, and at check-in a woman walked me upstairs and handed me a key. Nobody spoke English. After dark, a man came into my room without knocking. He apologized, and I think he was there to clean, but there was no deadbolt or chain to keep anyone out. I also realized nobody knew I was in that room. Someone who worked there slept on the lobby couch, and I could hear them loudly arguing or yelling with someone through the night. Then one afternoon I got a call saying my things were still in the room. I told them I wasn't checking out until the next day, but they didn't speak English. I rushed back across Paris to sort it out and used Google Translate with the man at the front desk. He told me I had to leave immediately. He wouldn't let me back into my room for my things until I took cash out of an ATM to pay him for overstaying, and wouldn't explain why I couldn't book another night. I left sobbing. Absolutely horrible. Don't go here.

SCAM!! Don't book here. I made my reservation through Expedia, but when I arrived, it seemed they weren't expecting me. Their phone went unanswered for five hours. They had texted at 11 am to ask about my arrival, and I replied straight away, but heard nothing until almost 8 pm. Expedia also tried calling to find out why I couldn't get my room. The woman yelled at me several times to show my confirmation again and again, and took a lot of pictures of it. I didn't feel safe. Then she left me with no solution. Expedia called several more times without getting an answer. The neighborhood seemed a little unsafe, the place was hard to find, and the reception looked dirty. I ended up booking another hotel at 4 pm. At 4:30 I went to Hotel brittanica, where my reservation was processed and check-in was normal. Save yourself the last-minute hotel bill and an hour on the phone with Expedia.
