Hôtel Résidence Quintinie Square

The neighborhood is convenient, with good restaurants and bakeries around. This is a nice, modest hotel, and the room was clean and looked good, though it wasn’t large and had no closet space. We kept running into trouble with our access code. The staff couldn’t get it to work, so every time we needed a new code. Hot water also took ages to warm up. The heated towel bar was wonderful.

We didn’t get one quiet night during the entire week. The building in Paris doesn’t seem suited to being a hotel, so when someone checks in or walks past your door, it means another sleepless night. I’ve stayed at SONDERs before, but I won’t again. I’d never recommend this place to anyone hoping to sleep, and I think the hotel should be closed and not allowed to accommodate people.

It’s a very quiet residential area, though some pet owners nearby don’t clean up after their pets. That’s nothing to do with the hotel. Reception were welcoming and almost too helpful, which is always nice, and the place itself was beautiful and comfortable, like a home away from home. We did find lipstick on a glass water bottle, but it looked unused, so you might not notice it at first glance.

We had everything we needed for five days, and would happily stay again. The room was large and had a view over the parc, with really comfortable beds and a good shower, though the bathroom was laid out very tightly. We liked the self-service setup, and found the staff friendly. Our door code worked well, so there was no need to worry about keys. We arrived at midday and had enough space to store our luggage. There aren’t many restaurant choices right nearby, but buses and the Metro are very convenient.
