Hôtel Télémaque

I stayed at the end of February 2026 and, despite the bad reviews, had a really good experience. The price was good, and everything was very clean. Room service came each day to clean and check whether we needed anything. Most of the staff were kind and funny, though the man on the morning shift just did his job.

At 1 a.m. we found bedbugs in the room. We later learned other guests had reported the same thing. We’d only checked Trip.com beforehand, where the reviews seemed fine, and missed the reports on Booking and Google. The same night, another guest was at reception complaining about cockroaches and no hot water. The hotel wouldn’t move us or help, so we had to book another place at the last minute for more than twice the price. Given the state of the room, we were glad to pay it. The receptionist was rude and dismissive, called it “bad luck” 😂, and seemed to want us to leave once other guests started walking by and getting concerned. It’s shocking this hotel can keep operating. Avoid it. It needs to be shut down and probably sued.

TERRIBLE, this place doesn’t feel safe. You’d be better off sleeping on the floor during a Paris protest. An old man harassed me at the entrance, and the service desk was empty. They also refused to refund me for the cockroaches and all the other “fascinating facilities.” DON’T COME HERE. TRUST ME.

In my view, this is the filthiest, most unhygienic place to stay, and the worst hotel I’ve ever been in. I can’t understand how it’s still operating in a city like Paris. Do yourself a favor and don’t even consider staying here.
