Hotel Victoria Chatelet

The location is great, and the rooms and facilities were clean. Room service was prompt and the front desk was always staffed. The hotel itself didn’t match the location, though. The walls barely block sound, so I could hear people talking next door. Heating comes from a radiator with no thermostat control, and the beds are quite narrow and very firm. Breakfast costs $14 and is mostly coffee, juice, and croissants. It was fine for me, but felt a bit pricey.

The location was amazing, close enough to walk to the Louvre and Notre Dame/Saint Chapelle. The staff were kind, helpful, and honest. The rooms were clean, but very small and dated, with nothing special about them. Just an average hotel with nice staff in a great spot.

We booked at the last minute after changing our plans because of a transit strike, and the stay worked out really well. The staff were friendly, helpful, and welcoming, and the location is amazing. One thing to keep in mind: lower floor rooms facing the street can get a little noisy at night. There’s a small lift, but this may not suit people with mobility challenges.

Yousef and the team made our first visit to Paris fantastic. They were super helpful every step of the way. We had a great, very clean room with enough space for our luggage, though a second suitcase stand would’ve been nice. The little wardrobe was great. We were close to everything: the hop-on hop-off bus, metro, Notre Dame, Sainte Chappelle, the Lourve, and restaurants. Breakfast was good, and the hotel dining area had tea and coffee available any time, which was handy since there were no tea-making facilities in the room. Traveling with an elderly person made that a bit harder.
