Hotel Villa d’Estrees used to be the only boutique hotel we'd consider in Paris. We booked in January 2026 for five nights in March, and sometime before we arrived it was sold to Les Hotels Saint-Louis. Our booked 35 square meter room was in the middle of renovation, so we agreed to take a 20 square meter one instead. The longtime staff have moved on. Some of the new staff are nice, and I expect the property may be nice once renovations are finished. But Les Hotels owns at least 10 boutique hotels around Paris, and the business model isn't the same as the old Vhila d’Estrees. We'll probably try somewhere else on our next Paris visit.

Willy's hospitality made our stay memorable. He did all he could to make things enjoyable and suggested some great local sights we wouldn't otherwise have visited. His English was excellent, and we even came back to the hotel for a few more nights at the end of our holiday because of him. We'll definitely stay again when we're back in Paris. The location is ideal, with plenty of restaurants nearby. We walked to all the main tourist spots, and train transport is close too.

This hotel is very low-light throughout, which could be an issue if that's something that bothers you. Its location is fantastic, and reception can store your luggage. Some rooms have been renovated. I don't think ours had been: it was quite dated, though clean, comfortable and spacious. There was complimentary water and an espresso machine in the room. The bathroom needs updating.

The location is amazing, breakfast is solid, water pressure is great, and the front desk makes an effort to help. Still, I wouldn't call this a four-star hotel. Maybe 2.5 stars. The mattresses are rock hard and need replacing as soon as possible. The apartment/suite description is misleading: 401/402 are two connected double rooms, with nothing that makes them an apartment or suite. There's no AC, so controlling the heat is difficult, and some outlets didn't work.

Willy, the front Manager, deserves a big thank you. He's kind, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly and charming, and will do whatever it takes to make you comfortable during your stay. The hotel itself is comfortable and in a superb location. If we return to Paris, we'll probably stay here again. Big shoutout to Willy.
