ibis budget Saint Maurice Hotel

We called the police after the receptionist physically and verbally assaulted us, but the situation was never resolved.

We stayed three nights, and there was no working internet anywhere in the building, even though the Wi-Fi signal looked full. There was no hand soap, and when we asked for liquid soap, they said they don't provide it. There was no kettle or coffee area either, and the sink was completely blocked. The room was tiny, nowhere near worth the very high price they charged. The nearest train line was a 16-18 minute walk away. When I complained at reception, nobody had an answer and they just blamed one another. I wouldn't recommend this place at all.

I was told I could pay at the hotel once my reservation was confirmed, but it was cancelled without any notice just one week before my trip. The reviews had already made me nervous about what I'd find there. They never reply to emails either. I absolutely don't recommend it.

The hotel is conveniently located by a bus stop and about a 10-minute walk from the RER, but I can't recommend staying there. On our night there was no water, so we couldn't use the toilet, flush it, bathe, or wash our hands. No one warned us in advance so we could move elsewhere. The receptionist said he had only just started his shift and had just heard from his manager, and couldn't do anything. We went for a walk while they dealt with it, but when we came back the room smelled awful. They offered neither a refund nor a move to another hotel in the brand, and by midnight we were looking for somewhere else ourselves. The rooms are very small and hygiene was poor: the sheets were yellow and the towels had old blood stains. On our night visits, the lobby smelled of marijuana. The hotel is not recommended for families, or probably anyone. Accor hotels used to be good quality, even at the budget end, but it seems they have lost control of standards.
